As you may have heard today, one of Ubisoft’s websites (not specified which one) was hacked, and “data [was] illegally accessed from our account database, including user names, email addresses and encrypted.”
Thankfully, personal payment information (debit/credit card info) isn’t stored with Ubisoft, so that wasn’t accessed. Also, to the best of their knowledge, other personal information such as phone numbers and physical addresses wasn’t accessed either.
Due to this, Ubisoft is recommending that everyone changes their Ubisoft account password as a precaution, with further details about this available by heading over here.
Are you changing your password right now? Or taking the risk and leaving it as is? Let us know in the comments below.
