Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster PS3 Limited Edition Confirmed, SD/HD Comparison Trailer Released (Update: Release Date News “Very Soon”)

Update: Luke Icenhower, Marketing Coordinator at Square Enix, answered a few questions on the PS Blog today, assuring someone that the “Vita versions are still coming” and more information, such as a release date, will be announced “very soon.”

Original Story: After we originally told you that a Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Limited Edition existed, Square Enix has officially confirmed it.

Not costing you anything past the $39.99 of the PS3 version (no bonuses announced for the Vita version), the Limited Edition includes a 24-page art book that shows off some early PS2 concept art, along with some commentary from the original Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 development teams, as well as a special message from Yoshinori Kitase, Producer.

To go along with the Limited Edition details, a comparison video between the SD and HD versions of the game was released:

Square Enix also re-confirmed that Cross Saves are coming to the PS3 and PS Vita versions of the HD remasters, there’s a 30 minute audio drama written by Scenario Writer Kazueshige Nojima during the game credits, they’ll be based off the International versions that came to Japan and Europe, and the games are due out later this year.
