Bought Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn via the PSN in Europe on August 27th or 28th? You Get a Refund!

Amidst numerous launch issues for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (which even saw digital download versions pulled), the European PlayStation Blog has announced that anyone in Europe who bought the game on August 27th or 28th via the PSN will be receiving a full refund:

All customers that purchased the digital version of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition, or Collector’s Edition, from PlayStation Network on 27th or 28th August will receive a full refund and will be able to find the funds in their wallet as soon as this is processed.

In addition, the entitlements of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Standard Edition or Collector’s Edition will be reset and the title will appear again in the download list.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

We haven’t heard anything about a similar offer in North America, but if anything is announced, we’ll let you know. Also, here’s the latest service update.
