In what was a healthy week for new releases, Thief managed to take home top spot in the UK last week, no doubt helped by the fact that it’s a current-gen/last-gen title. In fact, 75% of Thief’s sales happened on the PS4/Xbox One, with Thief’s #1 debut also being the 2nd highest #1 finish of any title in 2014, behind FIFA 14.
As for the other new releases, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One managed to place in 4th, with Tales of Symphonia Chronicles on PS3 at #13. Looking at Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 on PS3 and Xbox 360, that one only managed to finish in 10th place, but it does mark the 2nd biggest week 1 of any game in the Castlevania franchise, behind the first Lords of Shadow.
