The Catch-Up: May 5th, 2014 – SCEA Trademarks ‘Guns Up!’

  • In a recent interview, Tokyo Jungle Director Yohei Kataoka said of the game, “Europe loved it, and we got a lot of great feedback from that audience, but [in] America… that simply wasn’t the case. We received a lot of negative feedback for the game.” [Source]
  • Joining Entwined, Killstrain, and Bloodborne, SCEA has trademarked ‘Guns Up!’. There’s no game information, but if I had to guess, I’d say this will be a Move-enabled title. [Via, Source]
  • When asked about Sony moving into the VR space with Project Morpheus, Oculus Founder Palmer Lucky said, “I’m not really worried about Project Morpheus. [Sony] said they’re only doing it on PS4. We’re not on PS4, so there’s no real competition. If anything they just add credibility to the VR space. You know, they show that it is something that is reasonable to be investing in. It’s not just this one crazy company that’s making it happen, it’s an entire industry.” [Source]
