The Deep Gets a Project Morpheus Hands-On Gameplay Video

As Sony has been showing off Project Morpheus to the public, only a few games have been playable with the new PS4 VR device, and The Deep is one of them.

To give you a clearer view of what The Deep has to offer (beyond Dan’s impression), IGN has uploaded a full gameplay video, showing off what’s happening in-game, as well as what the player does at the same time:

In another video about Project Morpheus, Access PlayStation interviewed Simon Benson, Director of Sony Worldwide Studios Immersive Technology Group. During the interview (via Gameranx), Benson reiterated how the current Project Morpheus build is just a prototype right now, adding:

A lot of thought has gone into our prototype. We try to think of it not just as a peripheral – this isn’t about something you just put on your head and is a peripheral – it’s a whole system. It’s a virtual reality system. It really embraces the whole PlayStation environment.

Benson continued: “We don’t want it to be a high-tech thing that no one knows what to do with. It’s got to be so simple that one size fits all; you just plug it on and it just works.”

Here’s the full Access PlayStation video interview, which has some Project Morpheus hands-on footage spread throughout:
