Killzone: Shadow Fall’s Intercept DLC Gets First Offscreen Gameplay Video

Late last week, Guerrilla Games unveiled Intercept for Killzone: Shadow Fall, which will bring along online co-op to the game next month (but not split-screen co-op). Giving us our first off-screen look at Intercept is The Escapist, who posted this interview with Guerrilla Producer Poria Torkan:

Moving away from Killzone, Torkan was interviewed by Eurogamer about Guerrilla’s new PS4 IP, saying, “It’s really awesome! It’s exciting times. If I even say one word people will kill me.”

He then talked about the PS4 and how games will look better and better as time progresses:

If you compare Shadow Fall to the first games on the PS3, so if this is like the first generation of games which are coming, god knows what they will be like in four or five years.

Compare the first games that came out on the PS3 to The Last of Us or GTAV. It’s amazing. That’s the thing. We had two-and-a-half years to figure out what we wanted to do with our engine and one-and-a-half years to figure out what we wanted to do with the hardware. Imagine when comparably technically advanced studios get four or five years under their belts with the hardware.

We’ll get our chance!

Additionally, Guerilla’s Managing Director Hermen Hulst took part in a keynote at GDC Europe (via Destructoid), where he announced that Guerrilla is starting a new studio in downtown Amsterdam, which will work on an unannounced new IP. It remains to be seen if this is the previously known new IP or a new new IP.

Are you excited for the announcement of the studio’s new IP? Still enjoying Killzone: Shadowfall? Let us know in the comments below.
