With this month marking the 10 year anniversary of the God of War franchise, Sony has released a new dynamic PS4 theme to celebrate the occasion. Available now for a special launch price of $1.00 in the United States and Canada, the theme is 27.3MB and can be purchased from the PlayStation Store.

10 years ago a warrior rose from the Ancient World. God of War was born. To honor the legions of PlayStation fans worldwide who have embraced Kratos and the God of War franchise, we’re proud to present a very special God of War Anniversary dynamic theme for your PlayStation 4 system.
“Epic” gained a new definition when God of War debuted on the PlayStation 2 system. Since 2005 Kratos has become a name known to PlayStation fans worldwide. A General in the Spartan Army, Kratos swore allegiance to the god Ares, not realizing he bartering more than his life for victory. A champion of the gods now betrayed by Olympus, Kratos, the “Ghost of Sparta”, seeks the destruction of all who stand in his way.

If you missed the announcement, God of War 3 Remastered is coming to PlayStation 4 this July.
This week also sees the release of official PS4 themes for the various MLB teams ahead of the launch of MLB 15 The Show on March 31. As Sony says, “MLB 15 The Show Dynamic Themes are free for users who have pre-ordered the Anniversary Edition.”
