Destiny of Spirits Going Offline This Summer

Coinciding with its first birthday, Sony has announced that the PlayStation Vita free-to-play RPG Destiny of Spirits will be shutting down on June 30 in all territories.

Furthermore, from April 28/29 in Europe/Asia and June 30 in North and South America, you’ll be unable to buy Destiny Orbs.

As part of their official statement about going offline, the developers explained that you won’t be able to play or access Destiny of Spirits after it’s shut down:

We regret to inform you that Sony Computer Entertainment will be ending service of Destiny of Spirits on June 30, 2015 (Tuesday). After this date, you will not be able to play or access the game, and all unused Destiny Orbs will expire.

Our goal when we released this title in March of last year was for players around the world to utilize the PlayStation Vita’s network capabilities for a fun, new game experience. The global response has been incredible, and we have achieved over one million downloads. We appreciate all your support.

To ensure everyone can make the most of the last few months of service, we will be launching a Fan Appreciation Campaign and bringing back past raid boss events with the final game update, version 1.12.

If you missed the news previously, MLB 14 The Show will be losing its online features this June.
