Metal Gear Online Will Allow Gear Customization, Example Shown Off

Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer portion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will allow players to customize their character’s outfits and gear, and the official Twitter account for MGO has gone into some of the details of customization.

In a number of different tweets, it was revealed that there will be “different gear types,” and that gear can be modified in a number of different ways, such as having different patters and colors applied to it. It was also revealed that gear will not have any impact on player stats, and new pieces of gear can’t be unlocked in the game’s single-player modes.

An image of “two identical pieces of gear” was also shared on the Twitter account, showing off how the same gear can look completely different, depending on which colors and patters are chosen.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is due out on September 1 for PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. What are you going to make your gear look like?
