Unlike the previous Mortal Kombat game, Mortal Kombat X won’t be coming to PlayStation Vita, NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon confirmed on Twitter over the weekend.
This shouldn’t come as too much of a shock after learning about the cancellation of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Mortal Kombat X, but it does mean you’ll have to download the mobile version to play MKX on the go – or use Remote Play with the PS4 version.
As for Mortal Kombat X on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, NetherRealm and Warner Bros have confirmed that new playable characters, new skins, and a new environment will arrive as DLC in the first half of 2016.
