Dual-Stick Shooter Tachyon Project Comes to PS4 on January 19

Making next week even busier for new releases, Eclipse Games (Super Toy Cars) announced today that Tachyon Project is releasing for PlayStation 4 on January 19 in North America and Europe.

Launched last year on Xbox One and PC, Tachyon Project is a dual-stick shooter that takes concepts from the shoot’em up genre. “The player will find the gameplay versatility and speed traditional to dual-stick shooters but with the weapons and enemies diversity normally found in shoot’em ups, providing a more varied and interesting gameplay,” Eclipse Games says.

Here’s the description:

In Tachyon Project you take control of Ada, a software program that has taken conscience and that was designed to hack into the most secure servers on Earth. After some rather mysterious events, Ada is thrown out of the test server where it was living and out into the Internet, but when she tries to go back there she finds she’s unable to. She’ll then start a journey to uncover the truth behind what happened to her creators, which she considers her parents. In the process she’ll find out that things were a bit more complex than she initially thought.

Featuring six different weapons, nine secondary weapons, and seven perks, Tachyon Project also includes 30 different enemy types, including four bosses, 10 Story Mode levels, three Challenge Levels for local co-op gameplay with up to three friends, a new Stealth Mode, and the concept of health as time.

As revealed by Exophase, the Trophy list contains Bronze and Silver Trophies only.
