Adventures of Mana for PS Vita Could Be Coming West, Square Enix Will Look Into It

Now available on iOS and Android worldwide, and on PlayStation Vita in Japan, Adventures of Mana could be coming to PS Vita in North America and Europe, Square Enix revealed today.

Writing on the Square Enix blog, Community Manager Dan Seto relayed a message from the Adventures of Mana development team, who said they will look at bringing the game West, but nothing’s confirmed at the moment:

Thank you for all of your comments on a PS Vita edition of Adventures of Mana.

We’ve been listening to your feedback and because of your passion for the game, we’re going to look into making a PS Vita version of Adventures of Mana for the west. We can’t guarantee we’ll be able to make this happen but we will see what we can do.

We’ll let you know if we have any news, so watch out for future updates and thank you for your support.

On Twitter, Square Enix Europe added, “If you’d like to play Adventures of Mana on PS Vita let us know on the SE Blog!”

Adventures of Mana is a remake of the first game in the Mana series, which was originally released in 1991 for the Game Boy as Final Fantasy Adventure in North America and Mystic Quest in Europe, then later remade for the Game Boy Advance as Sword of Mana. The original story of a young hero and young heroine attempting to stop the Dark Lord of Glaive from destroying the Tree of Mana remains unchanged, but Square Enix did update the graphics and controls, while also creating a new soundtrack from Kenji Ito, the original composer.

Will you be asking Square Enix to bring Adventures of Mana West?
