Star Wars Battlefront Outer Rim Expansion Unveils First Image, Content Details

On the heels of yesterday’s sizeable update, EA and developer DICE have shared the first image for Star Wars Battlefront‘s Outer Rim DLC.

Slated to drop at some point in March, the shooter’s first paid-for expansion heralds additional maps, weapons, heroes, and an “all-new mode.” This new content will largely take place in the factories of Sullust, along with Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine. According to EA, the DLC will arrive in tandem with free updates much like the recent February one.

Expect more in March including free updates and the launch of our first digital expansion pack to give you more of the content you love – more maps, weapons, and heroes, and an all-new mode. The Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Outer Rim expansion pack will allow you to fight among the factories of Sullust and battle within Jabba the Hutt’s palace on Tatooine.

No word yet on an official release date for Outer Rim, nor what that aforementioned “all-new” mode will entail, though we’ll keep you updated as it nears launch.

Star Wars Battlefront‘s free February update, meanwhile, added the Twilight on Hoth map, Ice Caves Survival Mission and Battle of Jakku‘s Turning Point mode across more maps.
