Mass Effect Andromeda to Run at 30fps on PS4 & PS4 Pro, Its Protagonists Are Siblings

After showcasing some Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay at the PlayStation Meeting yesterday, Electronic Arts and BioWare’s Producer Fabrice Condominas confirmed to GameSpot that the game will run at 30fps on both, the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro. Yesterday’s gameplay was from Andromeda‘s pre-alpha build, however, so it remains to be seen what the final product will look like on both consoles.

Elsewhere, the developer also revealed that the game’s male and female protagonists are brother and sister. Talking to PlayStation Access, Creative Director Mac Walters said that “they both exist in the game world at the same time.” “If you’re playing as the female Ryder, your brother is out there somewhere in the universe,” he added. We’re also told that we’ve seen their father before.

The character we saw two E3s ago, the N7, is actually your father. So we have got the full Ryder family revealed. We’ll do names and things in the future.

BioWare is saving some Mass Effect Andromeda announcements for N7 Day so stay tuned.
