PlayStation VR pre order

Amazon UK Plans to Fulfill All PlayStation VR Pre-orders by December 12th

It looks like Amazon UK is not going to be able to fill all of their PlayStation VR pre-orders by the release date. The online retailer has updated on their website that they won’t have enough stock at launch to send everyone their pre-ordered headsets. The plan is still to ship the pre-orders on a first-come, first-served basis. However, now it’s more of a first-come, first shipping from launch stock.

Due to limited stock we are only able to offer one unit per customer per address. You will be notified via email of the expected delivery date closer to the time. We will be fulfilling customer orders in the order in which they were placed and expect to fulfil all customer pre-orders by December 12th, 2016. This product comes with a UK plug and therefore may not be suitable for use outside of the UK.

They are still accepting pre-orders for the headset, but any additional pre-orders will take several months after the October 13, 2016 launch date to fill.

Amazon.com for North America stopped accepting pre-orders not long after they went live. They currently don’t have a notice saying that pre-orders will take months to ship, but they invite everyone who has not been able to pre-order to sign up for an email list regarding when new waves of stock will arrive.

Please Note: Due to high demand and limited availability of this product, we have sold through our allocation of the PlayStation VR Launch Bundle. Please sign up for email availability notifications to ensure you stay up-to-date on future allocation waves.

Meanwhile, GAME UK still swears that all pre-orders will deliver on time, and they are still open for pre-orders in the UK only. They will probably be your best UK bet.
