The highly anticipated seventh entry in the Resident Evil series is finally set to launch next week. That means that Capcom is doing the final marketing push for Resident Evil 7 biohazard before fans can get their hands on the game. Their latest attempt is also trying to get fans to go the extra mile and pre-order the game’s extensive Collector’s Edition, which they’ve uploaded an unboxing video of on their YouTube channel.
Check out the video unboxing below:
For those who can’t watch the unboxing, here’s what the Collector’s Edition contains:
– Mansion Replica– 20th Anniversary Artbook– 5 Lithographs– USB Finger– Alternative Inlay– Survival Pack: Action Set DLC
In other news, the game’s review embargo date was also announced. The news comes via This Gen Gaming who says reviews will start coming up at 9AM Eastern Time on January 23. That’s one day before the game releases, so fans will be able to purchase with a clear conscience come the next day.
Resident Evil 7 biohazard releases next week, January 24, 2017. Capcom’s first-person horror title will also support PlayStation VR, so players will be able to play the latest entry in the long running series from start to finish in virtual reality. That feature is optional, though, so players will be able to play on their television if they don’t wish to get frightened while wearing a PlayStation VR headset.
