Update: Studio Wildcard now says to expect Ragnarok around July 19:
Xbox crash hotfix today. PC update today (or tmrw). The next PS4 update is ETA July 12th & Ragnarok on console is ETA July 19th.

Original Story: The first official mod for ARK: Survival Evolved, Ragnarok, was supposed to be out on July 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One through a free update, but Studio Wildcard has announced that it’s been delayed.
As Community Manager Jen explained, they’re now aiming for it to arrive next week:
Console users, Ragnarok will not be releasing on Xbox or PS4 on July 4th. Currently we are aiming for next week, the week of July 10th.

During this time we will be focusing on fixing the memory-related crash for console and hope to release that on Xbox as soon as possible.

Until the crash is resolved we won’t be releasing a PS4 patch, as this would only port the crash over to PS4 as well.

Jen then added, “I hope you guys understand, and I’m very sorry for the delay. We will get your patches to you as soon as we are able to.”
Ragnarok will be included as part of update version v511, but first Studio Wildcard has to release v510, which was supposed to be out last week. Due to a “highly critical issue,” v510 was delayed and should be out this week instead. It’s the equivalent of PC v259 and will add the Tek Tapejara Saddle item, a Crafting Skill, the Corpse Locator feature, and more.
ARK: Survival Evolved fully launches on August 8 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
