The third and final character as part of Injustice 2‘s first DLC pack now has a gameplay trailer. Publisher Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealm Studios showed off the debut footage of Starfire at the San Diego Comic-Con today. Thankfully for fans not in attendance, they’ve also uploaded the trailer to YouTube.
Players will be able to start playing as Starfire in Injustice 2 starting August 2017. She’s available as part of the “Fighter Pack 1” DLC, which can be purchased now.

Here’s how NetherRealm Studios describes the game’s newest heroine:
As the next Queen of Tamaran, Princess Koriand’r found herself the victim of her fratricidal sister’s vengeful plot that resulted in their planet being conquered. Now a royal exile on Earth, Koriand’r uses her ability to absorb and convert ultraviolet energy as Starfire.
For more on Injustice 2, check out our review. Here’s what writer Paulmichael Contreras had to say about the game:
Injustice 2 may have the best single-player campaign of any fighting game. NetherRealm has hit a solid groove with their fighting games. A few new blocking mechanics help to add a touch more balance to the game’s environmental damage options, and the loot system is second to none. Microtransactions are always a tricky issue with any game, but by sticking to cosmetic items, purchases using additional cash aren’t necessary in order to get full enjoyment out of the game. Fighting game and DC fans alike should add this game to their collection as soon as possible.
Injustice 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
