Report: Okami HD Coming to PS4 & Xbox One Later This Year

According to a report from Kotaku UK, Capcom is planning on re-releasing Okami HD for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this December.

The information comes from two retail sources, verified by Kotaku UK, who revealed that Okami HD has recently been added to the physical releases calendar of two different European chains. Both stores list is for December 12, 2017.

Kotaku UK reached out to Capcom for comment but have yet to receive a response.

Okami was first released for PlayStation 2 in 2006, then ported to Wii in 2008. An HD remaster was then released on PlayStation 3 in 2012, but it was a digital-only title in the West.

Capcom bringing Okami HD to PS4 and Xbox One wouldn’t be surprising, as the company has (successfully) re-released several games for the consoles. Upcoming Capcom re-releases include Resident Evil Revelations on August 29 and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen on October 3.

In our review of Okami HD, we said, “If you haven’t yet played this captivating, artful title, you owe yourself the service.” It currently retails for $13.99 USD.
