The PlayStation Blog detailed new information about one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars history and how he’ll be utilized in the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II. Sheev Palpatine, also known as The Emperor, is perhaps one of the most fearsome characters in the world of Star Wars, and that translates to the upcoming game as well.
According to Jared Petty, Social Content Editor for EA, the Lord of the Sith is especially dangerous at close range with his ability to wreck groups of enemies with his Force lightning. This attack will serve as both his primary attack and as the basis for his other, more special offensive abilities.
Perhaps most dangerous is The Emperor’s chain lightning, which allows him to strike one foe and then chain the lightning to other nearby enemies, shocking them all in one successive move. If used correctly, this power can easily shift the outcome of a battle in a second.

The Emperor can also summon a dark aura of Force energy to surround his body. Any opponent caught within it suffers a twofold effect: the aura deals damage and it slows any enemy unfortunate enough to come into contact.
Finally, the Emperor can completely lock down groups of nearby enemies with electrocute, catching them in an immobilizing area of energy and rendering them vulnerable to the Emperor’s allies.
Star Wars Battlefront II is set to release on November 17.
