Dragon Ball FighterZ Collectors Edition Does Not Include DLC Characters

When Dragon Ball FighterZ launches in February, there will be a FighterZ Pass that launches with it, allowing players to purchase it and gain access to the 8 downloadable characters the game has. Unfortunately for some players, they’ll have to pay extra for that even if they pick up the games “CollectorZ Edition.”

According to Bandai Namco via Twitter, the company has confirmed that despite the hefty price tag on the Limited Edition of Dragon Ball FighterZ, the FighterZ Pass will not be included in it.

Bandai didn’t explain why this was the case, but it does come as a bit of a shock. The CollectorZ Edition will run people $139.99, and in most cases a game will include a season pass with its higher tiered edition. For whatever reason, though, Bandai Namco decided not to do it, so let this serve as a warning to players thinking that by picking up the CollectorZ Edition, they will get the FighterZ Pass.

In case you didn’t see it, the CollectorZ Edition is still a pretty neat bundle. Packaged alongside the game is a steenbok, three art boards, a 7” statue of Goku with exclusive “Manga Dimension” coloring, and a “CollectorZ box” to house all of the items. It is available now for pre-order and will cost you $139.99.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is slated to launch worldwide in February 2018.

What do you think? Would you like a season pass type of DLC included in a Collectors Edition, or do you think it should remain as extra content? Let us know in the comment section below.
