Bungie released their weekly news post today, and in it, the developers have not only announced information about the Eater of Worlds Raid Lair that was revealed earlier this week, but they also gave us some information on the Faction Rallies for Season Two of the game.
Faction Rallies for Season Two will kick off next week on Tuesday, December 12 and last through the week until December 19. Much like the last time the Faction Rallies kicked off, new ornament armor will be available for completing challenges. The three factions – Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, and Future War Cult – all make their return, and once again new weapons will be available to players in their respective factions. In case you missed it, Bungie also announced that the Eater of Worlds Raid Lair for the Curse of Osiris expansion is now open, allowing players to experience whatever challenges await them inside. For those that don’t know, Raid Lairs are essentially Bungie’s workaround to the long process of designing Raids. The team behind the Raid Lair promises new puzzles, content, and a whole new boss to fight, along with a second Raid Lair expansion coming to the Leviathan with Expansion II in the Spring of next year. The Raid Lair will reward players with unique loot, including armor, weapons, and cosmetics that are different from those found in the standard Leviathan Raid. The team also promised that there will be a Prestige mode for this Raid Lair. It seems like this will be a mini-Raid, which is not surprising for the three month expansion. We can likely expect to see a full new Raid at the release of Destiny 2’s yearly expansion next September (if previous releases are anything to go by).
