Ubisoft has announced the 25th character coming to For Honor, which will release alongside the game’s Year 3 Season 3 content, titled Hulda. Jormungandr is a Viking Hero, which can be played as both male and female versions called Gretar and Hulda respectively. This content will release on August 1st, 2019 for Year 3 pass holders.
You can check out the trailer for Jormungandr (specifically Hulda), below:
The Jormungandr hero utilizes a melee weapon known as the War Hamarr that features a wide variety of attacks. There have been some comparisons made to the Centurion hero due to the way both characters deliver some of their attacks, particularly in the way bash opponents that are on the ground.
According to Ubisoft, “The Jormungandr are Viking sectarians who wear their devotion to the Great Serpent, after whom they are named on their scarred bodies.”
All Year 3 Pass holders will gain access to Jormungandr right away on August 1st, while other players will have to wait until August 8th to purchase the Hero using 15,000 in-game currency.
Season 3 will also see the inclusion of a new map called The Viking fortress of Storr Stronghold, which will be implemented into the rotation of the game’s Breach mode. The update will include minor changes and balance updates to the Nobushi, Shinobi, and Orochi to “make them more competitive,” as well.
Jormungandr follows For Honor’s last character, Sakura, that was released in June of 2019, alongside the Shadows of the Hitokiri event.
For Honor is a game that has been consistently trucking along. Since its release in 2017, it has seen over 15 million players and numerous updates. Even though it didn’t get the greatest reviews at launch, it has improved tremendously since then. And since it was available as a free PS Plus game in February of 2019, For Honor has seen a major influx of players.
