Rumor: PlayStation Game Pass Rival Isn’t Sony’s Only Big Reveal This Week

It looks like PlayStation’s answer to Game Pass (aka Project Spartacus) isn’t the only thing Sony’s about to unleash for PS5 and PS4 players this week. Rumors are swirling that this will be a huge week for the company, during which it’ll make multiple announcements. Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller has teased that he’s heard “three” rumors and they are significant enough for him to postpone recording the next PS I Love You XOXO. Considering Miller’s pretty well-connected in the games industry, we’re definitely intrigued.

What is Sony expected to reveal other than PlayStation Game Pass rival?

In a tweet that went viral over the weekend, Miller wrote:

Some fresh PSVR 2 news (possibly a release date and price point) could potentially be one of the big reveals. Fans think we’re getting some surprises like God of War Ragnarok’s release date but Miller’s tweet suggests that the “rumors” he’s hearing are bigger than a mere video game release date announcement. A major acquisition, perhaps? Whatever it is, we’ll find out in due course, so stay tuned!

Opinion: I feel like an acquisition’s coming

Zarmena writes… Video game release dates? Pfffft. I think Miller’s talking about something no one’s really expecting. A new Silent Hill? Is Blue Box really Hideo Kojima after all? The possibilities are endless, but the one thing that has continued to consistently surprise people over the last year is the acquisitions that are coming out of nowhere. It’s this tweet that has my attention:

Stay tuned.

In other news, a Skate 4 gameplay reveal is reportedly coming soon, and God of War Ragnarok is on track for 2022.
