PlayStation’s official Twitter account published a trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse at an ungodly hour last night, and it appears to tease fans looking forward to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5. Insomniac Games was quick to retweet the trailer, leading to speculations that we’ll see a game trailer soon.
Spider-Man 2 PS5 is on track to release in 2023
The trailer in question, which can be viewed below, casually promotes PS5 towards the end. Albeit brief, the console’s inclusion in the trailer has fans excited.
That Insomniac Games retweeted the trailer has fans speculating crossover content or DLC. Others believe that we will finally see the game’s trailer soon.
All signs point towards Spider-Man 2 being showcased in June, coinciding with the buzz for the upcoming movie, which will hit theaters on June 2nd. Rumor has it that Sony has a major event set to take place around the same time the now-cancelled E3 2023 would have taken place.
Sony has yet to confirm its June showcase, but multiple insiders have corroborated reports that the event will take place before Summer Games Fest, which kicks off on June 8th.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PS5 is scheduled to release in fall 2023.
