In just a few short minutes, Sony will (hopefully) rock our gaming lives again as it holds its Paris Games Week presser at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET today.
If you can’t make it to Paris just like the rest of us, we’ve got the next best thing: a Paris Games Week Sony press conference live stream straight from the event to your eyeballs wherever you’re situated watching it. What’s more, you can watch it here on PlayStation LifeStyle where you can chat in the comments section with the other readers, and yes, complain about stuff that’s revealed (and not revealed).
For those pretending to work while watching, don’t shout too loudly when the megatons drop, alright? Assuming Sony wasn’t yanking our chains when it said that surprises were in store.
You can read up on what the staff thinks will be announced in the gallery below.
Don’t forget that in just a few short weeks, the hype will be with us once again as Sony will be holding a PlayStation Experience event on December 5-6, with the publisher telling us to expect those “patented PlayStation surprises” we’ve come to expect. PlayStation LifeStyle will have a full team on hand at PSX to get some hands-on time with the latest games, grab some videos and finagle an interview or two as well.

With the PlayStation Experience happening in about a month, I doubt we'll see anything super big at Sony's Paris Games Week presser. But then again, I'd love to be surprised.
If I had to wager a guess, PlayStation VR pricing and release date will be announced at PSX, while Quantic Dream, maybe Santa Monica and a few other studios will have a teaser up, with the full announcement coming at PSX. Again, I'd love to be proven wrong.
Sony could also reveal the release date for No Man's Sky at its PGW press con, that Quantic Dream project and leave it at that, and it'd still be a success.
If Sony can carry its E3 and TGS presser momentum into PGW and deliver, then man! Sony seriously has one awesome 2016 and beyond to look forward to.

I expect a release date for No Man's Sky so we can finally stop hearing about it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to give the game a chance, but the whole "we don't have a release date but this game has a billion cool things" is getting a bit old. So I hope we either get to hear something or nothing at all until Sony and the devs are both ready.
Also, I expect a new Quantic Dream title. -

I'm not expecting much. There seems to be a tertiary-level gaming event every single week now, and Paris Games Week will probably be a rehash of old information with a few new trailers. I expect to see a Quantic Dream HD Collection consisting of Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, but little else in terms of new game announcements. Hopefully I'm wrong, since Sony desperately needs some first-party games to start coming out, but I don't think this will be the big reveal spot.

It's hard to say what will come to light at Paris Games Week and what will be saved for PSX. I think we'll see some of the less hyped announcements at PGW, such as third and second-party studios. PlayStation VR and any other really major announcements that will have people talking for a really long time will be held off for Sony's own dedicated show.

I'm in agreement with the rest of staff, and think that most big showcases will be reserved for PSX. However, I'm hoping we will see one big bit of coverage, amidst the usual third-party offerings. Perhaps an Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer mode teaser? With full gameplay demo shown at PSX? Ooft, yes please!

I'm just hoping they go into a detailed description about how Dreams will work, what exactly it is, and it's release date/window!

I think the general consensus is that Sony will reserve the heavy-hitters (VR included) for PSX in December, with Paris Games Week acting as more of a status report on its second and third party studios. Quantic Dream revealing a new IP or sequel to an existing game seems a given, while I fully expect Housemarque and Giant Sparrow to showcase and possibly nail down release dates for Alienation and What Remains of Edith Finch.

I'm having a hard time deciding what they will present at Paris Games Week and what they will save for PSX. I guess I'll start with some safe predictions: Quantic Dream's game reveal, Media Molecule's Dreams' release window, Housemarque's Alienation release date and another unannounced game from them.
I think they are saving PlayStation VR for PSX so I'm going to say we'll finally see what Sony Bend has been working on and maybe Knack 2. From third-parties, I expect Square Enix will show Nier 2 running on PS4 and Final Fantasy VII Remake's battle mode.
