Persona 2 Playable by More Persons

“The wait is over,” Atlus USA declares in its most recent email newsletter to its fans. This fall, Persona 2: Innocent Sin is set to make its way to North America, after having been unavailable to English speakers for over a decade.

If you’re thinking “But wait, I have Persona 2 on my PSX,” take note: Persona 2 for the first PlayStation originally came in two parts, Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. North America got the latter, but not the former.

Additions and modifications to the game are most definitely are headlined by its mission creation system that sounds somewhat like a mini version of RPG Maker. Other expected modifications are also present, the most readily visible of course being the updated graphics. Joining the trends in other recent PSP remakes such as Final Fantasy IV and Ys I & II Chronicles, it will allow players to select between the original versions of the music or the newly remastered tracks. Other additions include more missions, a much more user-friendly interface, and animated sequences.

Persona 2‘s PSP version was received well in terms of both sales and reviews when it was released in Japan a month ago.
