Uncharted 3 Brought to Life In Sand Sculpture

August 8, 2011 Written by Josh Lewis

The Interactive and Digital Entertainment Festival took place back in June in southern France. Publishers placed their games on display to entice potential consumers, but Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception, Sony’s flagship title for the holiday season this year, was demoed to the public in a very unique way.

Inside the convention center the multiplayer and campaign were on display for people to partake in. However, outside on the beach front is where the real action was. Urban Act was hired to recreate the now iconic scene of Nathan Drake outside the crashed plane in the desert.

Taking into consideration Naughty Dog’s commitment to graphical excellence, there may even be a chance that Uncharted 3‘s sand may look better than what Urban Act was able to accomplish. The countdown to release has begun and there is little doubt that Naughty Dog is set to deliver in a big way this November. Uncharted 3 hits store shelves in November.
