Slow news day means super fun Catch-Up!

General News

  • If you had any doubts as to how big The Crew will be when it finally launches, Creative Director Julian Gerighty said in an interview last year, “A coast to coast race in the game, in a high-speed performance car, sticking to the roads is about an hour and a half, but if you want to go off-road, it’s about two hours and a half.” He then added, “We have one race, which is just for those maniacs, it’s not on the main path or anything. It goes around the circumference of the country and it’s a four hour race.” There better not be a trophy for that four hour race! [Via, Source]
  • There’s been speculation in the past about High Moon Studios working on the PS3/Xbox 360 version of Sledgehammer’s 2014 Call of Duty title (since they aren’t doing the new Transformers), and with High Moon now hiring for a “high-profile, First Person Shooter” on the PS3 and Xbox 360, it seems very likely at this point. • Sony Santa Monica is hoping to finalize the balancing for the next PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale patch this week. [Source]
  • If you want to get a giant head-start on a pre-order, NewEgg.com is offering a $10 gift card to anyone who pre-orders Kingdom Hearts 3 already. [Via, Pre-order It]
  • Likely referencing how they now have 23 members at the studio, Criterion Games recently said, “We’re getting the band back together! #23ANDRISING” while also adding, “Our build reviews are now being signalled by a powder horn.” Sounds like they’re kicking things into gear! [Twitter 1, 2]
  • You can expect the Revelations DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 to be about 4-5 hours in length. [Via, Twitter]
