Microsoft Doesn’t Have Permission to Run Destiny Ads, So They Made a Destiny Fragrance Ad Instead

With so much attention being paid to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions of Destiny with the PS4 bundle and exclusive content, Microsoft clearly didn’t want people to forget the game is also coming to Xbox, so they created DestinyFragrance.com.

A Microsoft UK spokeperson confirming to Eurogamer that it is “legitimate,” the website reveals that Microsoft doesn’t have any permission to run ads for the game, meaning Activision and PlayStation’s deal extends even further than we initially thought:

Okay, So Here’s the Lowdown

Destiny is actually an epic new first-person shooter, available on Xbox. Thing is, we didn’t have permission to run adverts for the game.

So we didn’t.

Thanks for smelling that something was up.
