Finnish magazine Pelaaja has revealed in its January 2015 edition that the classic Mortal Kombat character, Kung Lao, is due to make a return in the upcoming title, Mortal Kombat X.
A Test Your Might forum user provided a translation of the article, which shows images of Kung Lao and details his three gameplay styles; Tempest, Buzz Saw and Hat Trick. According to the article, Tempest will allow players to use more spinning attacks while allowing them to use Kung Lao’s hat as a shield as it spins around him. Buzz Saw allows players to have more control over the hat, and sharpen it with razor blade edges. Last but not least, Hat Trick allows players to throw the hat and call for it to come back any time they want, keeping opponents on their toes because the hat can extend combos.
Mortal Kombat X is set to come out on April 14, 2015 on the PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
