Nyko PS4 Data Bank Price Revealed

While we reported earlier this year about Nyko’s PlayStation hard drive “solution,” we now know how much it costs.

According to Amazon, the Nyko PS4 Data Bank price will be $39.99, which will start shipping on May 31, 2015. If you’re unfamiliar with the device, it’s a hard drive dock that you screw on top of the PS4 and will allow the user to put 3.5′ hard drives, which are cheaper compared to the 2.5′ ones that the PS4 needs.

Here’s the press blurb that Nyko released before in case you want to give it a go again.

The solution eliminates the need for an external hard drive, which currently cannot support game installs or save data. This also allows for larger storage, faster running speeds and less expensive prices found with 3.5” hard drives. The design of the replacement dock lid seamlessly matches the minimalist design of the PS4. Once a 3.5” drive is slid into the Data Bank, a built-in LED strip illuminates while the console is accessing its memory.

With more and more games needing day one patches and whatnot, it’s just a matter of time until your PS4 hard drive is used up. Will you consider getting Nyko’s Data Bank or would you rather use a 2.5″ drive in your PS4?
