NieR: Automata Crosses One Million Copies Sold

Available on PlayStation 4 and PC, NieR: Automata has sold more than one million copies, Square Enix announced today. This number includes physical copies shipped and digital copies sold.

“Upon its release for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and PC last month, the game received critical acclaim across the world for its fantastic blend of action-packed high-speed 60fps battles, and deep, captivating storyline from Director Yoko Taro (Nier, Drakengard series),” Square Enix said.

In Japan, the PS4 version of NieR: Automata has sold over 315,000 copies through physical and digital retailers since launch in February. Automata launched in March in Europe, and debuted in 6th on the UK retail chart. We won’t know how NieR did in the United States until later this month when Sony releases their PlayStation Store charts and the NPD releases their retail sales data.

You can still grab the NieR: Automata demo from the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe).
