With Keiji Inafune leaving, Capcom has its work cut out for them as they reorganize internally. Even with significant changes on the horizon, Capcom has huge expectations for one of their most popular franchises: Marvel vs. Capcom 3. According to a recent financial report, Capcom expects to move 2 million units worldwide when MvC3 is released in the 1st quarter of next year. Given the internet hype, fan reaction, and long lines to play the game at nearly ever appearance, those expectations may not be far off base; particularly when the title appeals to both comic and fighting-game fans alike.
Personally, MvC3 is a day one buy for me…so they have at least one sale guaranteed.
