Mass Effect 3 Spotted on EA’s Own Store

Shortly after the release date of Mass Effect 2 was announced for the PS3 for early next year, a bumble on EA’s own store seems to have revealed the latest entry to the trilogy. A listing for the game on PC, 360 and, most importantly, the PS3 showed up on the EA digital store and was taken down just as quickly. But it wasn’t taken down quickly enough to prevent pictures being taken and and the game’s description being memorized.

Earth is burning. Striking from beyond known space, a race of terrifying machines have begun their destruction of the human race. As Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine, your only hope for saving mankind is to rally the civilizations of the galaxy and launch one final mission to take back the Earth.

This was most likely going to be BioWare’s big announcement for Spike’s Video Game Awards. Still, we’ll have to wait until the VGAs for a solid confirmation, but now we can say for sure that Mass Effect 3 is a go.
