The Need for Speed Shift series puts an emphasis on the experience of authentic driving and EA is looking to continue that tradition with the racers’ successor, Shift 2 Unleashed. Now, EA has today announced a limited edition for the game, and its pre-order goodies consumers can receive upon launch.
Those who pre-order the limited edition for Shift 2 Unleashed will obtain access to three vehicles, which will only be available via the limited edition version of the title. The cars, which can be viewed via the screens below, include:
- Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero (S15)
- Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV
- Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
The lead designer for Shift 2 Unleashed, Andy Tudor, recently hit out at Gran Turismo 5 saying the game will hopefully outdo Polyphony Digital’s racer by not including “1000 irrelevant cars”. EA senior VP Patrick Soderlund also took a dig at Sony’s exclusive game by recently stating Shift 2 Unleashed will ‘absolutely will beat it’ in regards to driving authenticity. Shift 2 Unleashed is scheduled for a spring, 2011 launch.
