Thief to Stalk the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2014, Current-Gen Version Still Handled by Eidos Montréal

Thanks to a ‘strong amount of feedback’ from the Thief community asking about whether Thief would be available on current generation consoles, it has been confirmed that the game will release on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and now PS3 and Xbox 360 (with development handled by Eidos Montréal) when the game launches in 2014.

This news was given during a video interview between Adam Badke, Community Manager at Eidos Montréal, and Stéphane Roy, Senior Producer on Thief, where Roy also revealed that that the core gameplay will stay the same on PS3/Xbox 360. When it comes to visual quality though, that will obviously be lessened, but still “very high” because they know “how to squeeze the last juice of power” from the two systems. You also don’t have to worry about missing out on dogs, as they “will be in current-gen.”

Thief may not be out until 2014, but Dan’s E3 preview of the game has already crept out from the shadows, and you can read it right here.
