  • Martin Kenwright created the MotorStorm franchise and was a developer at Evolution Studios, but now he’s moved to Starship, a new studio that has team members from Evolution and Studio Liverpool. Kenwright said of Starship, “It’s the optimum time to start a new IP, a new franchise at the start of new technology life cycles. You need to [be] pragmatic about it, so that’s what I’ve been doing. Formulating memorable IPs with genuine use and need. The idea was to take some of the best gaming talent in the world and then move it slightly outside games.” Expect announcements from the company “in the next year or so.” [Source]
  • In case you missed the announcement, both Thief and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on PS4 are enjoying a flash sale that puts them at $29.99. The sale ends on Thursday, so be quick! [Get Them]
  • Flame Over, from Laughing Jackal, is “a fire-fighting action roguelike, featuring randomly generated levels, twin stick controls, fast-paced gameplay, permadeath and dynamic fire that burns, spreads and threatens the player (and other NPCs) in some cool ways.” The game is in development for the PlayStation Vita right now, with a release date planned for late Q3/early Q4 2014.   • The European PlayStation Store has launched a new sale that sees discounts on Assassin’s Creed III, Dishonored, Dragon Age 2, Saints Row IV, and more. [Check it Out]
  • Hideo Kojima recently said, “Play [Ground Zeroes] and then [Peace Walker] and vice versa. The wave of emotion get out of sequence, but result ends the same. Only difference is get to know now/later.” [Twitter]

  • Ubisoft’s PAX East line-up features a brand new Watch Dogs demo, a demo for The Crew, a demo for Trails Fusion, a “new unannounced” digital title, Child of Light, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, Ghost Recon: Phantoms, and Might & Magic: Duel of Champions (the latter 3 aren’t on PlayStation).
