Deep Silver Owner Koch Media Confirms They are Not for Sale

According to a report from Handelsblatt last week, Deep Silver parent company Koch Media was actively looking to be sold off. Taking to Twitter, the Deep Silver account refuted this claim:

We have seen a recent report suggesting Koch Media is for sale. We are happy to say that Koch Media (including its premium games publishing label Deep Silver) is well-financed, profitable, and a stable and growing business in the entertainment industry.

Independent companies like us understandably attract interest.

As a matter of fact, we ourselves are always on the lookout for responsible acquisition opportunities in the fields of publishing and distribution to accelerate our growth. But we are not for sale.

What’s interesting about their response is how they say they’re “always on the lookout for responsible acquisition opportunities.” With Deep Silver publishing Homefront: The Revolution, and Crytek seemingly in the midst of some serious troubles, it sounds as though Koch Media might be looking into snatching up the game so it can be completed.
