PlayStation 4 DLNA Support Coming Early 2015, Mobile App Being Redesigned

Verified Sony employee and Redditor, IWorkForSony, has revealed in the PlayStation 4 subreddit that the much-awaited DLNA support for the console can be expected in early 2015. Responding to a question regarding DLNA/MP3 support, he said:

I’d say early 2015 for DLNA. MP3 and Video Players by the Holiday season (MP3 maybe sooner).

In response to another thread where a Redditor said that he thought the PlayStation mobile application needed an overhaul, IWorkForSony said:

There’s a redesign in the works. It should be more functional and modern (read: less cheesy blue boxes).

Additionally, it was also revealed that entitlements for PlayStation 3 games will not be carried over to PS Now.

With regards to the DLNA feature, Yoshida previously said that he was surprised at the reaction from fans to the lack of day one support.

Do you think DLNA/MP3 support should have been added from the get go? Let us know.
