Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is Going to be a True “Remastering of the Original Version”

We received a ton of information about Final Fantasy Type-0 HD from Hajime Tabata at PAX 2014 when he was interviewed by Kotaku, and when he spoke with Polygon, Tabata discussed the mature gameplay of Type-0, which takes place in real-time:

We’ve really tried to focus on the true nature of battle – what a realistic type of magic vs. weaponry type of battle might unfold like.

If you’re hit by fire, you burn. If you’re cut, you bleed. It’s approaching those realistic type of expressions within the Final Fantasy world atmosphere … It’s more of a realistic blow vs. just scraping away HP.

Aside from improved visuals, updated controls, and four difficulty modes, Type-0 HD will remain unchanged compared to the PSP version:

At the basis, it’s really just going to be a true, remastering of the original version. We have a basis for it that was demanded overseas, and we wanted to bring that to our overseas audience.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is expected to release by the end of August 2015.
