Today, Visceral Games announced This Season on Battlefield Hardline, a weekly feature that highlights exclusive game and behind-the-scenes content for Battlefield Hardline.
Every Wednesday from now until launch on March 17, we’ll get new information on features, game modes, and more. For next week, we’ll learn details about the “first beta,” which will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
In a post on the Battlefield website, Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis talked about how delaying the game from its original holiday 2014 release date was the correct decision:
There’s no doubt moving the game back was the right call. The improvements the team has added to the game with the extra time are making Battlefield Hardline the complete first person shooter experience we set out to deliver. There’s a great story for fans of single player. Exciting new MP modes, vehicles, gadgets and weapons that add a new dimension of speed to Battlefield. All while still staying true to the thing that most sets Battlefield apart – a focus on teamplay and strategy.
He continued by talking about how the upcoming multiplayer beta “will showcase a small slice of the game and will also help us continue to test stability as we prepare for launch.”
