Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Won’t Have a “Choose Your Own Ending” Mechanic

While most games these days let you affect the ending — and in some cases — let you decide your own ending, that won’t be the case with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

In an interview, Producer Olivier Proulx didn’t want to divulge how many Deus Ex: Mankind Divided were in the game, but confirmed choices in the “last map” will have a big impact.

We don’t want to have a ‘choose your ending’ at the end of the game…but it’s complex to build organically, the choice of the players, and have it reflected towards the end of the game.

I’m not going to say how many endings we have; there’s a few, and obviously the choices in the last map in the game will have a big impact, but the decisions you make earlier can be used to affect the last parts of the game. So, much earlier decisions impact you right until the end.

In other Mankind Divided news, the “Augment Your Pre-Order” campaign, which was met with extremely negative results, was cancelled just last week.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on February 23, 2016 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
