Released last year on Xbox One and PC, couch co-op action game Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime from developer Asteroid Base is coming to PlayStation 4 on February 9 in North America and Europe for $14.99.
Allowing for one to two players, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime forces you and your co-op partner to work together while switching back-and-forth between controlling the spacecraft, weapons, and defenses against alien robots. If you want to play by yourself, an AI space dog named Doppler or cat named Kepler will join you.
Asteroid Base adds:
Set in a colorful universe, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime offers players an array of weapons with which to battle enemies while avoiding galactic forces of nature and rescuing kidnapped space bunnies, frogs and other charming creatures from the evil forces of Anti-Love. Players shouldn’t be fooled by the cute aesthetic, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime features challenging gameplay that will test gamers of all skill levels, including new difficulty modes Beginner and Veteran.
You’ll also find upgradeable ships and randomized levels that provide a new experience every time you play.
Co-founder Jamie Tucker said, “Lovers harkens back to the awesome couch co-op adventures we all had as kids, but updated with 1080p neon and 200% more cosmic buzzsaws. The fate of your battleship depends on both players at all times — and nobody gets left behind.”
