E3 2016 – Microsoft Confirms “Project Scorpio,” Claims It’ll Be the Most Powerful Console

Microsoft has just confirmed “Project Scorpio,” claiming that it’ll be the most powerful console on the market with 8 CPU cores, 6 teraflops, and 320GB/s memory bandwidth alongside backward/forward compatibility and 4K/VR support. It’ll be the rival to Sony’s PS4 Neo, which we’re yet to hear more about officially.

Scorpio will be part of the Xbox One family and is going to be supported alongside the original Xbox One. It will apparently add to Xbox One’s capabilities and any games released will work on both consoles.

The console will be out in 2017. Will Sony show off Neo later on? Let’s find out.
