Hideki Kamiya Wants to Work on Bayonetta 3, Has Already Written Some Outlines

Hideki Kamiya, who directed the first Bayonetta, has said that he wants to return to the series after his work on Microsoft’s Scalebound is done. During an interview with Polygon, he revealed that he’s already written some outlines for what the game would be and is currently looking for the right opportunity to make Bayonetta 3

It’s actually something I’ve been thinking a lot about. We’ve talked a lot about it internally at the company and I’ve written some outlines for what the game would be. And I feel really confident it would be cool if we got the chance to make it. Right now, we’re looking at opportunities… If that opportunity ever came up to make Bayonetta 3, that would be really, really cool.

The first Bayonetta released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. Kamiya did not direct its sequel, which Nintendo picked up exclusive rights to. It remains to be seen if the third game will land on Microsoft and Sony’s current-gen consoles or not.
