Evo runs from July 15 through 17 in Las Vegas.
Switching to Injustice 2, Boon said on Twitter last week that the lack of fatalities opens the door to guest characters. In an interview with Game Informer, he said he’d be surprised if Injustice 2 doesn’t have any guest characters:
I always think there’s a novelty to it and there’s a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have. But you know, Scorpion in Injustice was the most downloaded of all the characters. There was a coolness and a novelty factor to seeing the mixing of the things. Alien and Predator in Mortal Kombat X were the most downloaded of those, so I would be surprised if we didn’t do any of that [in Injustice 2].
Boon also said Krypto the super dog won’t be playable, and the Injustice 2 roster “will certainly have more girl-power.”
With so many guest characters from horror movies appearing in recent games, Boon revealed that the idea of a horror icon fighting game has come up multiple times. “Maybe one day we’ll do it,” he added.
Who would you like to see in Kombat Pack 3?
