Square Enix to Adapt Life Is Strange Into Live-Action Series

Life is Strange

Square Enix and Legendary Entertainment has partnered up to create a live-action TV show based on the critically acclaimed Life Is Strange series for digital streaming services.

The show will be produced by dj2 Entertainment, however, due to the deal only recently being completed, the show has no release window or official story synopsis. They’re not even sure if the show will follow the games original story or if it follows a completely different plot.

Life is Strange™ is one of those rare properties that combines incredibly developed characters and storylines with deeply engaging gameplay,” said Siegel. “It lends itself perfectly to live-action imaginings. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Square Enix, DONTDOD Entertainment and dj2 to bring the world of Arcadia Bay to life in an exciting new way.

Life Is Strange released last year becoming one of the most thrilling mystery stories that have ever told. The game has won a handful awards including Best Story, Games for Impact, and Golden Joystick’s Performance of the Year.

If you have yet to give Life Is Strange a try, Square Enix has recently announced that episode one is completely free to download on all platforms.
