Batman: The Telltale Series Episode 5: City of Light brings the season to a close tomorrow, December 13 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, and iOS/Android devices. If you’ve played the previous four episodes, check out the above launch trailer for a preview of what to expect in the finale.
Then, on December 20, Telltale will begin the third season of The Walking Dead, titled A New Frontier, with two episodes: Ties That Bind Part II and Ties That Bind: Part II. In the launch trailer, you’ll get to see some familiar faces from The Walking Dead universe, while also learning more about the situation that brings Javier and Clementine together:
Both episodes will be available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS/Android devices on December 20. Release dates for PS3 and Xbox 360 will be announced later.
You’ll also be able to purchase a Season Pass Disc in February 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One that includes Episode 1 on-disc, and will give you access to the remaining four episodes as they become available.
If you’ve played previous The Walking Dead seasons, you’ll be able to tailor the backstory, though Telltale isn’t saying exactly how it will work just yet:
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will act as both a new beginning for players fresh to the series and unfamiliar with Clementine, as well as a continuation for players who have experienced Seasons One and Two. Players new to the series will be able to start a story that is tailored to this new beginning. Players continuing onward from prior seasons will have multiple options for quickly configuring their tailored backstory, or importing past save files from various platforms. Additional information on this feature will be detailed in the coming week.
Pre-ordering The Walking Dead: A New Frontier digitally on PS4 gets you free copies of The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: Michonne.
